The Pickens Chamber of Commerce member for the month of May is the Reserve at Lake Keowee. Created in 2000 by Greenwood Communities and Resorts, The Reserve at lake Keowee is an award winning residential community that spans 3,900 acres within Pickens County along 30 miles of Lake Keowee shoreline. The community consists of a 200-slip Marina, Village Center, Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, and more than 1,400 acres of parks, preserves, trails and green spaces. With it's Charitable Foundation, the Reserve at Lake Keowee has raised and distributed more than $292,000 to support the Pickens community. In additiion to financial support, Reserve community members volunteer hundreds of hours annually with various organication.

For 2015, The Reserve has been selected for the 3rd year as one of the host courses for the 15 Annual BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation. This tournament will be held May 14-17,2015. In 2014 the tournament raised $836,883 for local charities, bringing the total raised over the life of the tournament to more than $10.8 million. The Reserve's Charitable Foundation is one of the recipients selected by the tournament to receive funds from the tournament proceeds. The Reserve Foundation in turn will give the contribution to the following locat Pickens County organizations: Helping HandsChildren's Shelter, Feed a Hungry Child, Pickens County Meals on Wheels, Safe harbor, and Pickens Senior Center
